Suitable for paddlers of all ages and abilities.
For those who are staying on or visiting the Ardnamurchan peninsula, we usually paddle on Loch Sunart, unless conditions dictate otherwise, where we will be on the lookout for otters, seals, porpoises and eagles.
We will happily travel further afield, for a small extra charge, for those staying in or visiting areas such as Fort William, Glenfinnan, Glencoe or Ballachulish.

This beautiful guided canoe trip usually takes place on Loch Sunart in one of our Hou Prospector canoes. These are stable canoes which can take up to 3 people. We provide all the essentials for you to enjoy the experience and to keep you comfortable.
Colin or Katrina will meet you at the Sunart Camping site’s “Bothy”, unless we have arranged to meet you elsewhere, where you will be provided with all the essential equipment for this trip. Most of the time, canoeing is a dry pastime but occasionally it rains or people fall in. This is nothing to worry about but please make sure that you have with you the warm clothing described on our kit list.
The trip will last around 3 hours but not all of this time will be spent paddling. Your qualified canoe leaders Katrina or Colin, have an intimate knowledge of the loch and its wildlife. They will take you to quiet beaches, giving you time to take in the scenery and relax.
Young children are very welcome. We can tailor the journey appropriately to ensure their safety. We have life Jackets and waterproof clothing for children weighing 10kg upwards.
Canoeing is a fantastic, healthy, experience which requires physical participation. Sometimes your help will be needed with moving canoes. Please let us know if you have any medical issues prior to the trip.
