Call us, or send us an email or online enquiry form with the details of what kind of trip you would like to book and the dates and we will contact you to confirm availability and provide details of how to pay. Please ensure that you read our Terms and Conditions before booking.
Don’t worry, our canoes are very stable and are suitable to be paddled by beginners and young children. Most of our trips are suitable for people of all paddling abilities, unless stated otherwise. If necessary you will be given basic paddling instruction by your guide.
½ Day Loch trips – there is no minimum age (we can provide suitable life jackets for children weighing 10kg upwards) although you must consider your own child’s ability to sit relatively still in a confined space for any length of time.
For full day trips – we recommend a minimum age of 10 as younger children may become tired
Overnight trips – we recommend a minimum age of 12
These are recommendations, but you know your child, and if you think they will be able to cope with the activity, please speak to us and we will try to accommodate.
Unfortunately, we are only able to take children (under 18) if they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We understand that keeping the children entertained can be costly which is why we offer a 50% discount for the first child in any booking.
We will do our best to run a trip whatever the weather. We would not cancel due to rain or cold, but if conditions are such that it would make canoeing dangerous (usually caused by strong winds) then we will cancel the trip. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further details about this.
Yes, we are happy to take you out in your own canoe as long as it is fitted with buoyancy blocks or air bags. You can use your own equipment as long as any buoyancy aids meet the current safety requirements.
If you have previously paddled a canoe with your dog and you are comfortable in the knowledge that your dog will not move around the boat too much making it unstable, then yes please feel free to bring them along. NB. Your dog must wear a buoyancy aid – we do not provide these.
See our kit list. This tells you what we provide and what you are expected to bring.
